Total Flooding low temperature:
   Clean extinguishing agents are used primarily to protect hazards that are in enclosures or equipment that, in itself, includes an enclosure to contain the agent. This means the supply of clean agent arranged to discharge into, and fill to the proper concentration, an enclosed space or enclosure about the hazard.
Total Flooding normal temperature:
   Clean extinguishing agents are used primarily to protect hazards that are in enclosures or equipment that, in itself, includes an enclosure to contain the agent. This means the supply of clean agent arranged to discharge into, and fill to the proper concentration, an enclosed space or enclosure about the hazard.
Local Application:
   This application uses clean agents, which are directed to specific areas. The delivery equipment is usually fixed and actuation is usually automatic.
Portables:
   The clean agent is contained and delivered by a hand-held or wheeled unit. Suitable agents must have streaming characteristics that provide directional capability; this enables the operator to point the nozzle directly at the source of the fire.
Inerting:
   The agent is delivered within a space at a concentration that is greater than the typical fire extinguishing agent. This creates an environment that is incapable of supporting a fire or explosion.
