Clean Agents Reclamation
A key element of the responsible use and stewardship of Clean Agents is the recovery, recycling and reclamation of used substances so that they can be reprocessed for further commercial use or destroyed.

Halon, HCFCs and HFCs can be recovered, recycled and reclaimed from fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers.

There are many environmental and economic benefits to be gained from recovery, recycling and reclamation efforts. The major benefits include: minimized atmospheric emissions and reduced environmental impact; expanded market opportunity for used substances; reduced environmental compliance costs and reduced need for new clean agents.

SHT is authorized to collect, transport, stock, recover and recycle and reclaim used clean agents and its laboratory is able to check and certify the general requirements of substance in accordance with NFPA 2001 and ISO 14520 Standards. These checks include purity, acids quantity, moisture level and amount of non volatile residues.
