Information about Privacy Policy in compliance with Regulation 2016/679 /EU (GDPR)

In compliance with the European Regulation GDPR about the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, SAFETY HI-TECH srl (SHT) would like to inform you that we respect your privacy, being committed to protecting your personal data.

This paper informs you how SHT looks after your personal data when you visit the website and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

THE PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

When processing your personal data, the legal basis for data processing results in particular from Art. 6 EU-GDPR.

SHT uses your data for business initiation, to fulfil contractual and legal obligations, to execute the contractual relationship, to offer products and services as well as to strengthen the customer relationship, which may also include analyses for marketing purposes and direct advertising.

 

Use of website and cookies'

Cookies are small files saved to your computer’s hard drive that track, save and store information about your interactions and usage of the website. This allows the website, through its server to provide you with a tailored experience within our website.

Our website www.safetyhitech.com uses cookies to improve the users experience while visiting the website.

SHT website uses: i) technical cookies – that is, cookies that are used "for the sole purpose of carrying out or facilitating the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary in order to provide an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user."; ii) Third-party cookies - that is, cookies that are used for statistical analysis of accesses/visits to a website; they only serve statistical purposes and collect aggregate information.

The SHT website doesn’t use analytical cookies, nor Cookies to Integrate Products & Third-Party Software Functions, nor Profiling cookies.

SHT doesn’t process children’s personal data aged below 18.

 

RECIPIENTS

Your information will be shared internally, including with members of our sales teams (i.e. HTE – Hudson Technologies Europe, and SHTE – Safety Hi-Tech Europe), marketing, quality, management and IT and facilities staff if access to the data is necessary for performance of their roles.

Will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

PERSONAL DATA TRANSFER TO A THIRD COUNTRY (EXTRA-EU)

Data is generally not transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area). Any external data storage devices we may use are hosted within the European Union. Should a data transfer take place in third countries in individual cases, this will be indicated in each case. All data protection requirements are fulfilled, and an EU standard contract is concluded with the business partner in these individual cases.

 

PERIOD FOR WHICH THE PERSONAL DATA WILL BE STORED

SHT will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us

SHT will review the retention periods for personal information on a regular basis.

 

RIGHT TO REQUEST FROM THE CONTROLLER ACCESS TO, AND RECTIFICATION, OR ERASURE OF PERSONAL DATA

First of all, SHT would like to inform you about your rights as a data subject. These rights are standardized in Articles 15 - 22 of EU-GDPR. In particular, you have:

  • The right of access (Art. 15, Regulation 2016/679/EU), that is you are always authorized to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge;
  • The Right to rectification (Art. 16, Regulation 2016/679/EU);
  • The right to erasure your personal data (Art. 17, Regulation 2016/679/EU);
  • The right to restriction of processing (Art. 18, Regulation 2016/679/EU);
  • The right to data portability (Art. 20, Regulation 2016/679/EU);
  • The right to object to processing of data (Art. 21, Regulation 2016/679/EU);

To assert these rights, please contact the data Controller, SHT, sending a formal request, duty dated and signed, together with a photocopy of a valid identification document (i.e. driver's licence,  identity card or passport) to avoid any possible risk that anybody could have information about your personal data your right fraudulently.

 

RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLIANT WITH A SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

As per Art. 13, comma 2.d) of the Regulation 2016/679/EU, of course, you have also the right to file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities.

 

REQUIREMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF PERSONAL DATA

No data is forwarded to third parties, unless we are obliged to do so by mandatory legal provisions (transfer to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or law enforcement authorities); for example, various personal data is necessary for the establishment, execution and termination of the obligation and the fulfilment of the associated statutory and contractual obligations.

 

AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING, INCLUDING PROFILING

SHT doesn’t use any purely automated processing processes to bring about a decision, including profiling as per Art. 22, par.1 & 4, Regulation 2016/679/EU.

 

APPROPRIATE MEASURES TO ENSURE A LEVEL OF SECURITY APPROPRIATE TO THE RISK

SHT has put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, SHT limits access to your personal data to those employees, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will process your personal data on SHT instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS OF THE PRIVACY POLICY

SHT will take all possible measures to ensure the protection of your personal data; its privacy policy will be continuously updated in compliance with further amendments of EU Regulation 2016/679.

SHT will promptly inform you about any modification about the privacy policy and data protection measures.
